Developing your psychic abilities

Paranormal people are people who have access to the subconscious mind. Most people have some psychic abilities but they may be hidden behind too much clutter in their mind or they may never find out how to enhance or use them. Paranormal abilities can be refined, evoked and developed.

Exercises to develop your psychic abilities

Learn about the different types of psychic abilities. Some psychics are stronger in one psychic area or choose to focus on one area at the expense of the others.

  • Imagine using your “third eye,” the chakra (or energy field) that sits above your real eyes. Visualize opening and expanding this third eye. Watch what you see on the “inner screen” of your mind. Try to do this with your eyes closed.
  • Clairvoyance means that you can see ghosts and images. One of the aspects of clairvoyance is ‘remote observation’. This is the ability to see things that cannot be perceived by the ordinary senses. Clairvoyants work with auras to get impressions from communicating spirits. To observe remotely, choose a location that you would like to observe. Close your eyes and think about the location. Move your intention up to your third eye. Notice your first impression and write it down.
  • Clairaudience is the ability to get paranormal impressions through sound. Words are sent through the aura into the subconscious mind of the medium as if the medium were a telephone. To practice your clairaudience, you can repeat a word over and over in your head. This way you can develop your inner voice. Clairsentience is the ability to sense the presence of a mind and its emotions and personality.
  • Tarot cards are drawn one at a time or arranged in spreads to answer questions and provide insights into pressing questions.The cards can tell you about many things in live. For example during a career tarot reading, a psychic sheds light on work, career and business. There is more to learning how to read tarot cards than just memorizing endless tarot card meanings – it is also about learning how to develop your intuition and calming the mind so that your intuitive insights have a chance to shine.

Practice your psychic abilities with small objects. Some psychics, such as helping the police, use clothes. The important thing is to take an object that has been used since psychics believe it has more energy than unused objects.

  • Hold the object, close your eyes, relax and feel what your body feels. You can ask yourself if the object belonged to a man or a woman, how he or she felt and what kind of work he or she did.
  • Write down what instinctively comes to mind. This is called an energetic impression. Don’t leave anything out. It is best if the person who gives you the object knows who owns it but does not tell you. This way you can compare what you have written with the facts.

Try other exercises with objects. Have someone hide an object and see if you can find it. The most important thing here is whether you can feel the energy of the object. Try to ‘feel’ where the object is.

  • Visualize connecting with the energy of the object to find out where it is hidden. Ask yourself if it is high or low and if it is hidden under something or in something.
  • You can also use photos instead of objects. Have a friend put photos from magazines in envelopes and then see how many features of the photos you can name.

Meditate to develop your psychic abilities. This allows you to clear your head and focus more on your sixth sense. It is very important that you have less clutter in your head.

  • When you wake up in the morning, lie still for a few minutes and keep your eyes closed. Try to notice as many sounds, textures and smells as possible before opening your eyes. If you keep up this exercise for a few weeks you can sharpen your awareness and intuition.
  • To meditate, close your eyes and take a deep, slow breath. Then breathe through your nose. Hold your breath for a moment and then exhale through your mouth.
  • Playing soft music in the background can help calm your thoughts. Or you can sing a mantra. This is a word or short phrase that you repeat to yourself over and over. The goal is to get rid of unwanted mental clutter. The reason meditation works is because it helps you turn off your analytical mind and free your subconscious mind.
  • Imagine a plus sign when you inhale and a minus sign when you exhale. Do this exercise repeatedly. Clear your mind of all negative thoughts. These can block your psychic abilities.
